Holiday Salon

December 15th, 2019

1. Paul Fejko performs a piano improvisation with holiday thoughts and dreams 

2. BROLO from the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, Joseph J. Buches, Director, perform “The Lights Have Been Strung”, “Good Christian Friends, Rejoice”, “Ding! Dong! Merrily On High” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain” 

3. Maryliz (vocals) and Arturo Stable (piano) perform original jazz/pop songs

4. Meghan Cary performs original, joy-inspired music accompanied by Peter Farrell (keys/mandolin), Bob Beach (harmonica/flute) and Ken Ulansey (woodwinds) 

5. Sharon Sable (vocals) and Shawn Qaissaunee (guitar) perform songs from their full band CD Love Evermore and a holiday tune or two

6. Heath Allen (piano), Karen Smith (percussion), and Ken Ulansey (woodwinds) accompany experimental Mexican cabaret artist/composer Tareke Ortiz

7. Jean Lenke & Friends (jazz combo) perform tunes inspired by the Holiday Season: Jean Lenke (vocals), Suzzette Ortiz (piano); Tom Glen (guitar), George Livanos (bass); Karen Smith (percussion)

8. Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Mary Scholz performs original songs from her most recent records (acoustic guitar/vocals)

9. Cuban pianist Tony Sala performs “New Beginnings” from Cuban Sunrise; “Havana” (Cuban Dance) and his classical arrangements of “Carol of the Bells” and “Joy to the World”

10. Singer/songwriters Robert Oakes and Katherine Oakes perform soulful songs in close harmony 

11. MYSTIC PULSE featuring Lisamarie McGrath (Native American frame drum/voice) and Jason Ruby (charango/percussion) take us on a meditative sound journey

12. John Conahan, vocalist/pianist, closes the night with soulful holiday-inspired tunes and audience participation!
