Founded by composer Andrea in 1986, the Szalon honors the rich tradition of the centuries-old music salon with a contemporary spin while embracing the diversity and dynamism of contemporary artistic life. As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary Season in 2026–27, we honor four decades of bringing artists and audiences together in community — a welcoming space where music, movement, ideas, cultures, and creative traditions meet.

For 40 years, artists across classical, jazz, world, opera, chamber, electronic, dance, multimedia, and experimental works have come together at the Szalon to create, collaborate, and connect. At the heart of it all is a simple belief: the arts bring people together.
